1. Hauz Khan Fort
Hauz Khas Fort is located in South Delhi, the fort is part of the big Hauz Khas Complex. The word ‘Hauz Khas’ means Royal Tank Water. Alauddin Khilji (1296-1316) built it to provide water to the growing population of Sultanate. After that it was restored and expanded by Feroz Shah Tughlaq (1351-1388), making it once again a major water source.

2. Humayun’s Tomb
Humayun’s Tomb is located in Delhi, it is one of the most beautiful and significant monuments of Mughal Architecture. The Humayun’s Tomb built in 1570 by Bega Begum (Wife of Humayun), it was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent and an architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal. 3. Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar in Delhi is an astronomical observatory built in 1724 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Sing II (Jaipur). It is one of from five observatories (Delhi, Jaipur, Ujjain, Varanasi, and Mathura) . The Jantar Mantar was designed to study of movements of cosmic bodies, measuring time, and predict astronomical events. Mughal Emperor Muhammad Shah give the order to Sawai Jai Singh II to make the monument inspired by Persian and European astronomical advancements. 4. Feroz Shah Kotla Fort
Feroz Shah Kotla Fort, located in Delhi, is a historical fort built in 1354 by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq (19th Sultan of Delhi/3rd of Tughlaq dynasty). The Feroz Shah Fort was the Capital of Delhi Sultanate during his rule. Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq moved his capital from Tughlaqabad to Firozabad (Delhi). The site is now under the maintenance by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

5. Purana Qila
Purana Qila (Old Fort), was the oldest fort of Delhi, showing a history that spans 5,000 years. It is assumed to have been constructed on the site of Indraprastha (Mythical Capital of Pandavas). The main structure of Purana Qila was build by Sher Shah Suri between 1538-1545, and then Mughal King Humayun made some construction.

6. Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar, located in Mehrauli (Delhi), is one of the India’s most famous historical landmark and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (1993). Qutub Minar is standing at 72.5 Meter (237.8 Feet), it is the tallest minar in the world. 7. Red Fort (Lal Qila)
Red Fort (Lal Qila) is one of the most beautiful iconic monuments built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638-1648 located in Old Delhi.
